Asian Education Index welcomes applications from open access scholarly journals seeking inclusion in our indexing and daily OAI-PMH harvesting service.
Journals are evaluated based on technical compliance, transparency, and open access policies.
Who Can Apply
Journals that meet the following basic conditions may apply:
- Fully Open Access journal
- Uses OJS or any platform supporting OAI-PMH
- Clearly defined open access license (CC BY preferred)
- Publicly accessible journal website
- Regular publication activity
Before You Apply
Please ensure that your journal:
- Has a working OAI-PMH base URL
- Supports oai_dc metadata format
- Displays aims & scope
- Displays editorial board details
- Displays peer-review policy
- Displays open access & licensing statement
- Publishes scholarly/academic content
⚠️ Note: Applications that do not meet minimum criteria may be rejected without indexing.

- Country of Publisher
- ISSN (Print & Online, if available)

- Open Access License (e.g., CC BY)
- OAI-PMH Base URL
- Platform Used (OJS version preferred)
- Contact Email of Editor / Journal Office
- Approximate Number of Articles Published Per Year
Review & Evaluation Process
- Initial Screening – completeness of application
- Technical Review – OAI-PMH validation & metadata quality
- Policy Review – open access, licensing, transparency
- Decision Notification – via email
The review process typically takes 7–30 working days.
Indexing & Service Fees
- Indexing decisions are independent of payment
- A USD-based technical service fee applies only for:
- Daily OAI-PMH harvesting
- Metadata processing
- Continuous maintenance
Fee details are shared after technical eligibility is confirmed.

- All indexed metadata remains open access
