dc.description.abstractSince its founding in 1796, the Qajar state has witnessed a number of rebellions and disobedience movements for various reasons, some of which were related to the rulers' preoccupation with protecting their political position and strengthening central authority, and others related to foreign interventions or the deterioration of economic and social conditions. In this context, the Hasan Salar rebellion erupted during a critical period in the Qajar state, characterized by numerous internal conflicts within the Qajar country over the succession to the throne. It was the result of the personal desires and ambitions of Asef al-Dawla and his son Hasan Salar to assume power and reach the highest positions in the country. When his desires were not achieved, he turned into a rebel in the shadows and began inciting his son, who declared his rebellion against the central government at the end of the reign of Muhammad Shah. He relied on foreign protection (specifically, British) and exploited the aspirations of the people, who had suffered from the shortcomings of the ruling system, in addition to the deterioration of the general conditions in the country. However, his plans were thwarted by the shrewdness of Nasser al-Din Shah Qajar and the Grand Vizier Amir Kabir, who were able to restore order. Its natural course
