Prevention, diagnosis and treatment of postoperative pulmonary thromboembolism is a very difficult task. This is due to the uniqueness of the clinical picture, the need to use complex expensive equipment and various approaches to choosing a drug treatment regimen. It is up to the doctor to carefully prescribe the drugs that have just appeared and substantiate them with reliable evidence of their effectiveness. Currently, the main role for treating doctors is played by the selected algorithm for the purpose of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of this condition, as well as the timely conduct of anticoagulant and antiagregant therapy, the correct implementation of the capabilities and benefits of hospitals in practice.
