The article examines the features of the functioning of the two-tier banking system of Uzbekistan, including the Central Bank and commercial banks. The main attention is paid to the monetary policy aimed at ensuring the stability of prices and the national currency. The key measures taken by the Central Bank in the framework of the transition to inflation targeting, as well as their impact on macroeconomic indicators, are analyzed. The factors influencing the level of inflation and lending to the economy, as well as the impact of foreign economic conditions on the financial stability of the country are considered. The article emphasizes the importance of a sustainable monetary policy for long-term economic growth and improving the standard of living of the population.
