dc.description.abstractThe article examines the main directions of development of modern Azerbaijani literature, its thematic and genre diversity. Particular attention is paid to issues of national identity, post-Soviet transformations and the role of women in the literary process. Key trends, authorial strategies and current problems faced by modern writers are analyzed. The dynamism of the literary process and its important role in the formation of the cultural consciousness of society are noted.
