dc.description.abstractInternational criminal responsibility is one of the relatively recent international legal concepts as it aims to hold individuals accountable for committing atrocious crimes that are gross violations of international human rights law and international humanitarian law, as the importance of the study is in what these crimes constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity as well as crimes against genocide and crimes of aggression, and the provisions and principles of international criminal responsibility are represented in its basic principles, which are the principle of individual accountability, genocide and war crimes, and the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court where it is The importance of international criminal responsibility is the deterrence of these crimes, holding perpetrators accountable for what they have done and preventing these crimes in the future, as well as the international criminal courts seek to achieve justice for the victims and recognize their suffering and the tragedy they have suffered, as well as the establishment and strengthening of the rule of law and the contribution of the International Criminal Court in strengthening the rule of law at the international human rights level and the challenges facing these courts in international cooperation between international courts and those states and the immunities granted by those states to the perpetrators.
