The current research seeks to test knowledge management practices and their role in promoting environmental organizational citizenship behaviors for a group of Qadisiyah University academics from various disciplines and with various scientific titles. The questionnaire was distributed electronically, using a set of statistical analyses represented by confirmatory factor analysis and regression analyses using (the AMOS v.23 and SPSS v.23) tested the main research hypotheses. The current research presented a set of targeted conclusions and recommendations, the most important of which is that knowledge management practices effectively contribute to the access of working individuals to the level of effective participation in environmental events and contributions through their practices; and the most important recommendations were the need for higher education institutions to adopt knowledge management practices as they are knowledge-based institutions.
