This paper examines the features of teaching Russian spelling to Uzbek students who study it as a second language. The author focuses on the influence of phonetic and grammatical structures of the Uzbek language on spelling skills in the Russian language, identifies typical errors associated with interlingual interference, and offers methodological recommendations for their elimination. The study includes an analysis of phonetic and graphic differences between the two languages, as well as the results of a practical experiment conducted in schools in Uzbekistan. The work is aimed at improving the methodology of teaching Russian in a bilingual environment.
