The article considers the main stages of development of science since the Ancient world to the present day and examines the dynamics of the relationship between science and philosophy for centuries. This paper contains a brief characteristic of the most important concepts of the science developed by Western philosophers of the last century (logical positivism, concept of K. Popper, epistemological anarchism).
