This article examines lexical units associated with embroidery (kashtado'zlik), doppi-making (do'ppido'zlik), and gold embroidery (zardo'zlik) from the perspective of terminological derivation processes. A comprehensive historical-etymological analysis reveals their morphological structures, derivational affixes, semantic shifts, and dialectal variants prevalent in Uzbek linguistic traditions. The study highlights the stability of derivational models within national-cultural contexts, exploring how professional lexicon in applied arts evolves through affixation, compounding, and semantic extension. It traces the historical dynamics of these terms from ancient craft practices to modern usage, emphasizing their role in preserving cultural identity amid globalization. Comparative insights into similar phenomena in other Turkic languages underscore the universality of such mechanisms in craft terminology development. The research contributes to understanding terminogenesis in traditional Uzbek handicrafts, offering implications for lexicography and cultural linguistics.
