This article examines three Japanese grammar forms — 〜べき (should), 〜なければならない (must), 〜ほうがいい (better to). It analyzes their similarities and differences in expressing obligation, recommendation, and advice. The meaning, usage context, and level of formality of each form are illustrated with examples.
