POPULARIZATION OF RUBELLA DISEASE AND ITS LOCAL PREVENTION

Abstract

Rubella, also known as German measles, is a contagious viral infection that primarily affects children and young adults. While mild in most cases, rubella can have severe consequences for pregnant women, leading to congenital rubella syndrome (CRS) in newborns. This article discusses the importance of raising awareness about rubella, analyzing its epidemiology, symptoms, transmission, and local prevention strategies. Emphasis is placed on vaccination campaigns, community health education, and policy measures to curb the spread of rubella.
