This article explores the challenges and implications of translating vocabulary and terminology in science fiction literature. Sci-fi genres often feature extensive world-building and use of specialized language, which can present unique difficulties for translators. In this article, we examine various strategies and approaches used by translators to navigate these challenges, including the impact of cultural differences and the importance of maintaining the integrity and tone of the original text. We also discuss the implications of vocabulary and terminology choices on the overall reader experience and interpretation of the text.
