dc.description.abstractPhraseological units occupy a special place in the language system, providing expressiveness and cultural richness of the text. In a journalistic style, their use allows not only to enhance expression, but also to make texts more convincing and emotional. This article examines the features of the use of Russian phraseological units in journalistic discourse using the example of modern mass media (mass media). The article examines various functions of phraseological units, such as expressive, emotional, evaluative and culturological. The analysis of texts of various genres of journalism in which phraseological units are actively used to create emotional impact and formulate the author's position is carried out.
