This article analyzes the stages of formation and development of anthropology in the territory of Karakalpakstan based on paleoanthropological materials. Based on craniological materials from the Kokcha-3, Qalali-qir, Jetiasar, Mizdahkan, and TumakKichijik sites, the ethno-anthropological composition of the region's population and the process of its historical formation are highlighted. The research results show that there was an interaction of northern and southern anthropological components in the territory of Karakalpakstan.
