Hepatitis A is an acute viral liver infection caused by the Hepatitis A virus (HAV). Despite global efforts to control the disease through vaccination and sanitation improvements, Hepatitis A remains a public health challenge in many regions. This article provides a comprehensive review of the disease's epidemiology, clinical manifestations, historical and current management strategies, and future prospects for its prevention and treatment. Additionally, it discusses the current challenges and outlines recommendations for future research and public health policies
