Hepatitis A is an acute viral liver infection caused by the Hepatitis A virus (HAV). Despite global efforts to control the disease through vaccination and sanitation improvements, Hepatitis A remains a public health challenge in many regions. This article provides a comprehensive review of the disease's epidemiology, clinical manifestations, historical and current management strategies, and future prospects for its prevention and treatment.
