the article discusses the results of experimental work onimproving the methodology for developing intercultural communication competence among future Russian language teachers. Particular attention is paid to the diagnosis and analysis of experimental work, practical experience is generalized and the results of the experiment are summed up. The main criteria for the effectiveness of the structural-functional model are described and their indicators are identified. This article will be of interest to specialists in the field of pedagogy.
